  4. right of their direction of travel in the
  5. Northern hemisphere and to the left in the
  6. Southern hemisphere. The effect has to be
  7. allowed for in launching guided missiles, but
  8. despite popular belief it has negligible
  9. effect on the clockwise or anti-clockwise
  10. direction of water running out of a bath.
